Good place to grab food that doesn't taste like cafeteria food from the University. Serve alcohol so that's good. Love the monster fries, it's like animal style fries on steroids! Nice place to chill and watch a game.

Staff is always friendly and service is prompt. I usually takeout and phone ahead, works out great when you are in a hurry.

Great local place for UCR students to get a drink. Pizza is a lil lacking and expensive. But the burgers are great.

Good food, but it is a little dark inside and it looks like it needs some renovations.

Best service I've ever seen

This place has a good selection of beer on tap and average food. I've never seen it crowded, but that's probably because I go when school isn't in session and on Wednesday nights and stuff

The carne asada fries are THE best, the beer is good, and the staff is remarkably great. They gave me free beer when I did my oral qualifying exam for the PhD, so I love them!

It is a great environment for casual encounters and to see sports. It is also a great location where you have a very friendly service, their prices match their quality of food.

Good beer deals (and tap selection), but the food isn't very great. This is a nice college dive bar, and is a good place to watch a sports game or play pool.

Owner is great, very attentive. Good beer selection, tasty filling pizza. Affordable. Nice grungy atmosphere, like a bar, but with classy people inside. My new favorite place to hang before class.

Small, intimate restaurant with a mouthwatering selection of pastas and appetizers. While the ambiance was nicely set with dim lighting and candles, there was not much elbow room. We were luckily seated without a reservation since we made it before Friday night dinner rush. The complimentary bread and sundried tomato/olive oil dipping sauce was a nice opening for our meal. We skipped ordering appetizers as it was our first time here, and we were not familiar with the portion sizes. I'm sorry to say that was a mistake. The 3-ingredient carbonara though delicious, flavorful, and rich, was just a little too small for me (a petite female), and the Tagliolini Salmone was certainly not filling enough for my male companion. Our food came fairly quickly.

Good big food!

Great spot near campus if you want a quick bite to eat. Portions are huge and prices are fair. There's nothing to write home about in terms of food, the ambience is unique. Low ceilings, sports memorabilia everywhere, low lighting, pool tables, even a jukebox. You think of place to hang out, Getaway Cafe is it.

I ordered delivery pizza and the philly cheese streak and buffalo wings from here for the first time today and it was amazing the pizza was so hot and cheesy and fluffy and the cheese steak was very hot and tasty and the wings was great and the delivery guy delivered the food with a smile I had a nice first experience and me and my whole family loved the food I will recommend it to a lot of people

The burgers are amazing and the service is excellent even thought they have a small staff.

They need to work on cleanliness, easy fix to make it a great spot. Get to work

I'm partial to simple, American pub-style food, and this is one of my favorite places to get it near UCR. I usually get their burgers or pizzas, which are greasy but tasty and generously-portioned, but I haven't been disappointed by anything of theirs I've tried yet. The atmosphere is relaxed and usually not too crowded, and the staff gives you your space but is perfectly friendly and willing to help if you need anything. There's usually not too long a wait for the food, and it's open conveniently late if you're a night owl. As long as you go in expecting pub fare and not fine dining, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Cheap pitchers, reasonable microbrew selection, decent food, great staff, five star campus pub.

The place is cool and fun for hanging out with friends, prices are also good but to be honest you shouldn't expect a high quality food here. There are TV for watching games between classes and drink up

The beer here makes me sick it all tastes off. It is a good place to go hangout. They didn't serve me any disposable items so they get a possitive sustainability rating.

One of the only places on campus you can get a beer, and their selection is usually pretty decent.

Cool place. Can stand a remodel but other than that is is definitely the ultimate college kid hangout spot. Pool. Beer. Arcade games. Foosball. Sports on Tv. Outdoor and indoor seating. Specialty beers. Pitchers. Heart attack inducing cheesy fries. Just make sure you park in the right spots. The adjoining apartment complex does not take kindly to overflow parking.

It's kind more of a bar, but still a nice place. The food is pretty good and there are couches too.

Relaxed dive bar with good pizza. Pub fare (burgers, chicken strips, etc) decent as well. Burritos aren't great, but I wouldn't expect them to be. Owner is polite and staff are efficient. Tap list doesn't change but is diverse. Pretty clean for a college dive.
